Read this first

No instruction to touch gas equipment appears anywhere on this site, and none is implied by anything on it. GaslineSafe carries out no work, is not an emergency service, and stands outside any agreement you make with a contractor.

GaslineSafe is a referral service, not a contractor and not an emergency service. If you suspect a leak, leave and call 911 and your gas utility — not us. Otherwise we connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands, and gas work is separately licensed in most of them; every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check. We carry out no work, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

We are not an emergency service

Nothing on this site is an emergency response and we are not available as one. In an emergency call 911 and your gas utility.

We are not the contractor

GaslineSafe is a referral service. Any work is carried out by an independent contractor under an agreement between you and them. We are not a party to it, do not set prices, and do not supervise or guarantee the work.

This site deliberately contains no procedure for checking, testing, shutting off or relighting anything. Gas work is separately licensed and permitted in most jurisdictions for a reason, and nothing here should be read as suggesting otherwise.
