How Media is supplied
Two arrangements in one town, and the difference is not cosmetic. A mains connection has a meter, and 49 CFR § 192.3 ends the regulated service line at its outlet. A propane installation has no meter boundary and belongs to the property owner end to end.

Across Pennsylvania as a whole, 50% of households are on mains gas and 5% on tank propane. Media sits 7 points below the state on mains and about level with it on propane. A state figure would flatten exactly that difference, which is the reason these pages are built town by town instead.

Checking a plumber in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania has no state license for plumbers.
